View Poster on Redbubble"Festina Lente" (Make Haste Slowly) — an ancient Latin adage embracing the wisdom of balancing speed with patience, diligence with deliberation. This vintage-inspired illustration features a dapper Victorian gentleman hare standing proudly atop a giant garden snail shell, resting on his walking stick while displaying the Latin motto on a ribbon banner. Designed in a timeless copperplate woodcut and cross-hatch etching style. A thoughtful piece for lovers of Stoic philosophy, dark academia, classic literature, history enthusiasts, and anyone who appreciates charming, antique animal oddities. That idea carries through to the poster version.
Muted tones and a slightly worn texture give it a vintage feel that looks good on plain backgrounds.
A few practical details about the poster: The poster is printed on semi-gloss paper that keeps colors rich without heavy glare. It ships rolled, so it arrives without fold lines.
Using it on bedroom Walls: Removable mounting strips let you hang it without damaging the wall, which matters in rentals. Semi-gloss paper keeps the colors rich under warm bedroom lighting. A single poster above a bed or desk can anchor a bedroom without needing a full gallery wall.
Use removable mounting strips or poster putty, or put it in a standard-size frame.
Measure the wall space first; small and medium sizes suit desks and shelves, while large sizes work as a room's main piece.
Posters ship unframed and rolled. Redbubble also sells framed and art print versions on the design page.
