View Poster on RedbubbleAbout the artwork: "Festina Lente" (Make Haste Slowly) — an ancient Latin adage embracing the wisdom of balancing speed with patience, diligence with deliberation. This vintage-inspired illustration features a dapper Victorian gentleman hare standing proudly atop a giant garden snail shell, resting on his walking stick while displaying the Latin motto on a ribbon banner. Designed in a timeless copperplate woodcut and cross-hatch etching style. A thoughtful piece for lovers of Stoic philosophy, dark academia, classic literature, history enthusiasts, and anyone who appreciates charming, antique animal oddities.
A few practical details about the poster: It is an inexpensive way to add artwork to a room without committing to framing. The poster is printed on semi-gloss paper that keeps colors rich without heavy glare.
Using it on dorm Rooms: Posters are light and ship rolled, which makes them simple to take home at the end of the year. Medium sizes fit the narrow wall spaces typical of shared rooms. Dorm walls are usually plain and often restrict nails, so a rolled poster with removable strips is an easy upgrade.
Most dorms allow posters hung with removable strips or putty. Check your housing rules about nails and tape.
Posters ship unframed and rolled. Redbubble also sells framed and art print versions on the design page.
Measure the wall space first; small and medium sizes suit desks and shelves, while large sizes work as a room's main piece.
