View Mug on Redbubble"Festina Lente" (Make Haste Slowly) — an ancient Latin adage embracing the wisdom of balancing speed with patience, diligence with deliberation. This vintage-inspired illustration features a dapper Victorian gentleman hare standing proudly atop a giant garden snail shell, resting on his walking stick while displaying the Latin motto on a ribbon banner. Designed in a timeless copperplate woodcut and cross-hatch etching style. A thoughtful piece for lovers of Stoic philosophy, dark academia, classic literature, history enthusiasts, and anyone who appreciates charming, antique animal oddities. That idea carries through to the mug version.
The design also works well if you are drawn to vintage engraving themes.
On the product side: Each mug is printed after you order it rather than pulled from mass-produced stock. The classic mug is ceramic and comes in 11 oz and 15 oz sizes.
A few notes for the Office: Artwork on your desk is a small, low-key way to bring some personality into a work space. It doubles as a pen holder or desk organizer between coffee breaks. A mug that is clearly yours ends the shared-kitchen mix-ups that come with plain white office cups.
